Think like your market

When it comes to your marketing mindset, the first thing you need to do is get out of your own bubble and start putting yourself in the shoes of your real estate client. Whether you’re looking to represent buyers, sellers, or both, it’s important that you understand what goes on in their mind. What are they looking for in a real estate agent? What are their priorities? Their challenges? 

When you can fully understand what’s going on in a potential client’s mind, it’ll be much easier figuring out what kind of product or services you can offer them. Shift to a give-first mentality

This is a normal part of sales, especially in real estate. But instead of getting discouraged, use this three pronged approach to dealing with rejection: 

    1. Don’t take it personally: There are always a bunch of reasons why someone might say, “No” to you and most of them have nothing to do with you or your self-worth. Instead, look at the rejection as directed at the specific real estate request, not at you personally. 
    2. Expect rejection:This doesn’t mean that you should expect to fail when you do your marketing. Rejection doesn’t mean that you have failed. This just means that you should expect to face some rejection on your way to becoming a successful real estate agent.
    3. Use rejection as a learning opportunity: learn from your rejections and try to find out why someone rejected your marketing message. These rejections can then help you cover up any lapses and make you a better real estate agent. 

Appreciate Data 

An increasingly popular real estate trend in 2022 is the use of data to improve your marketing and sales efforts. Especially when you advertise online or through social media, collecting data on your marketing efforts has never been easier.

Take some time to look at this data and learn from it. Figure out what works in your real estate marketing plan and what doesn’t. Try to understand why, and then use that information to improve your marketing efforts.

Today, data is a powerful tool to help you constantly improve your operations and efforts. Try to track everything you can and dedicate time every month to see what’s working and what’s not.
